I absolutely love when people or companies realize there is no point in taking themselves seriously. When this happens, the general public receives awesomeness in the form of “Butterfinger the 13th.” I am way too excited for this!
In a press release from this morning, Nestle, maker of Butterfinger, announced they will be producing a twenty five minute comedy short called “Butterfinger the 13th” to be directed by Rob Lowe. Yes thee Rob Lowe.
This could not get anymore awesome! Combining a brand that has been known for forward thinking commercials in the past (anyone remember Bart stealing back his tasty treat from Milhouse before The Simpsons was a household name) and the under appreciated comedic genius of a central figure from the Brat Pack is truly glorious. I can’t wait to see the final product. Sadly we have to wait until October, but I’m sure it will be worth the wait.
Here’s the teaser trailer they released today:
And the official press release can be read here.
Let us know what you think of this tasty awesomeness.
