Tracie Ching’s Well Read Kickstarter Project

Tracie caught our eye early on because she made Star Wars prints! You can read our interview with her here. We love her style and are very excited to see her latest project, Well Read!

Here are the quick details:
What: Well Read – Tracie Ching’s first solo gallery show
Where: Galerie F in Chicago, IL
When: Opens March 28th

Well shoot, we can’t make it to Chicago in March. Not to worry! There are a great many things about this Kickstarter project, opening up her art beyond the actual gallery is one of them!

From Tracie herself:

Why it’s important to get it in now: Although the prints and other works will be on display at the opening, these will ONLY be available if you back the KickStarter. Once they’re gone, they’re gone.

So what is Well Read? It’s a great concept where Tracie will tackle several different genres of literature. The first of which is H.G. Wells’s science fiction classic, War of the Worlds. Check out the designs below:

Now a lot of times when you fund a Kickstarter project, you get left in the cold because the project doesn’t succeed. So all those hopes and dreams of getting something badass get flushed down the toilet. This project though has over two weeks left and has been fully funded! The project is onto the stretch goals! BOOYAH!!!

Again, from Tracie:

I am excited to be tackling not only something new, but a subject I have long since loved. I am equally excited to be teaming up with RIF for the show, the largest children’s literacy nonprofit in the United States. More details on that will follow as the opening nears.

So please take a look at a fantastic project and think about supporting a very talented artist – Well Read Kickstarter Project

I'm a true child of the 80s from a small town near Cleveland, Ohio. My all time favorite topics are Star Wars, slasher films and Cleveland sports (despite the misery it causes). I narrowly avoided law school, instead choosing film school. I have been accused of being a walking IMDB, but I take it as a compliment!
