Hero Complex Gallery Presents: Tarantino Tintypes by Tracy Ching

One of our favorite artists, Tracie Ching, was asked to participate in Hero Complex Gallery‘s Young Guns Invitational, a show featuring emerging artists. We did an interview with her way, way, way back in 2012. You can read it HERE

Each artist was asked to submit a small body of work featuring a subject of their choosing. Tracy decided to create portrait studies evocative of old tintype photographs for three of Quentin Tarantino’s most memorable characters:

Jules Winnfield from Pulp Fiction

Aldo Raines from Inglourious Basterds

Django from Django Unchained

They will be printed on French Paper’s gorgeous Steel Grey 100C and each study has a small variant run (see the gallery below for images), each featuring totally unique blood splatter embellishments.
