Kevin Costner Confirmed To Play Jonathan Kent

The two time Oscar winner is set to play Clark Kent's adoptive father in the upcoming Superman reboot.

It has just been confirmed that Kevin Costner will be playing the role of Superman’s biggest influence, Pa Kent. Its been rumored for a few weeks but I must admit, I believed it too good to be true but I suppose “if you believe it, he will come.”  Zack Snyder had the following to say:

“Jonathan Kent is the only father figure Clark has ever had, the man who was there to help Clark understand what he was meant to do in the world as Superman. Kevin will be able to communicate the quiet strength of this rural American man who raised the greatest super hero of all time.”

Kevin Costner joins Henry Cavill and Diane Lane in the cast of the Superman Reboot so far. We can now move on to the more burning question of what Villain will we be seeing the caped boy scout battle. Costner was quoted saying “Dry land is not just our destination, it is our destiny!” Does it matter that we pulled that quote from Waterworld? No, the point is the same.

I'm a man of tomorrow still holding onto the joys of yesterday. I miss Nick cartoons, and Power Rangers but I cant get enough of the Time Lords, and Serial Killers we have now. My many distractions include computers, movies, comics, and I like to imagine my life story would be scored with a mixture of Death Cab, A3, and a lot of Kid Cudi. We've entered the Geekological Revolution. A time of Vulcan Death Grips, drinks with friends on Tatooine, and attempting to build a freeze ray. Things have changed, muscle headed bullies. The Nerds rule the world now, and we reign SUPREME!
