What has Demons, evil corporate bad guys and flying pandas!?! The answer is the next Tekken movie, Tekken: Blood Vengeance. Now if any of you remember the live action version released just last year you might be a little worried. I know I was, but there is some hope seeing that NAMCO went the same route as Square Enix and is doing the movie in CGI. Also not only did they go with a format that gamers are more familiar with they also hired what I believe is the right talent for job. Tekken: Blood Vengeance will be directed by Youichi Mouri the same guy that did the cut scenes for Tekken 5 and Tekken 6 , also on the roster as the movies screen writer is Dai Sato his claim to fame are classics like Cowboy Bebop and Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex, which are 2 of my all time favorite Anime series. The task of CG production falls to the guys at Digital Frontier whose hits include Final Fantasy X, Resident Evil 4, Tekken 6 and Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots.
For the most part I’m pretty excited to see how this is going to turn out. I really like the stuff Sqaure Enix has put out in the past and I believe it’s good to have somebody else step into the ring. The release for Tekken: Blood Vengeance is slated for this summer 2011
