The past year has just flown by and I can’t believe it’s already time for one of the best and biggest Comic Cons in the Pacific Northwest, Emerald City Comic Con in Seattle, WA. This year’s four day con looks to have more fun and fandom than can fit into a TARDIS. Below is a condensed daily rundown of the panels and exhibitors that I’m looking forward to checking out. I highly recommend them.
Thursday 03/01/18
Panel: Doctor Who
Many fans would consider David Tennant and Billie Piper to be the definitive Doctor and Companion duo of the modern iteration of Doctor Who. I could make an argument for Matt Smith and Karen Gillan but I won’t be able to pass up this opportunity to see this Doctor Who pair. Get there early as you can as it could be the most well attended panel of the con.

As a collector of enamel pins I’m very excited to see this Southern California pin company back again on the exhibitor list. Their range of pins covers everything in pop culture.

Panel: Jennifer Morrison Spotlight
With Once Upon a Time ending it’s run, this panel is a great way for fans of the show to learn more about one of it’s stars. Jennifer Morrison has been a favorite of mine since House and this should be a great panel.

I know I’m featuring two similar galleries, but when HCG is up there as one of the top tier pop culture galleries I can’t not mention them. I haven’t seen yet what they are bringing but if I know this gallery it will be many great works of art celebrating our favorite properties.

Panel: Twisted Toonz
I’ve made this panel a tradition of my ECCC. Some of our favorite voice actors doing their iconic voices in a live read of some classic movies. This year it’s Willy Wonka & The Chocolate Factory and it is sure to be a hilarious and fun experience. You won’t regret checking it out .

I’ve just recently started getting into tabletop roll playing games and at the moment my setup is pretty basic. I can’t wait to check out this maker of dice and other D&D accessories.

Panel: Disney Sing-Along
Do you feel like Disney is Part of Your World? Many songs feel like a Tale as old as Time, so Be a Man, or rather, Be Our Guest and see How Far We‘ll Go in a Whole New World of an hour-long sing-along.

Gallery Nucleus is one of the better pop culture art galleries in Southern California so I was very excited to learn they had opened a Portland, OR location. They will be exhibiting this year at ECCC and I’m sure they’ll be brining some great stuff.

So that’s a short look at some of the many fun things to see, buy, and do at Emerald City Comic Con that I’m looking forward to. ECCC 2018 is March 1st through 4th at the Washington State Convention Center in Seattle, WA.
