This year marks the first-ever MondoCon, which is an art festival running simultaneously with Fantastic Fest on September 20 & 21 at the Marchesa Hall & Theater in Austin, TX. MondoCon is an extension of the successful line of collectible prints illustrated by up-and-coming artists, and curated and sold by Mondo, which itself began as an offshoot of Alamo Drafthouse Cinema.
Boom! Studios partners with MondoCon on an exclusive variant cover for Big Trouble in Little China #1, featuring art by Tyler Stout. The image was first used as the official poster of Butt-Numb-A-Thon 9 at the Alamo Drafthouse in 2007. With its cover printed on card-stock paper, the limited variant is available for purchase only through Mondo at MondoCon. Take a look at the cover:
