I'm a true child of the 80s from a small town near Cleveland, Ohio. My all time favorite topics are Star Wars, slasher films and Cleveland sports (despite the misery it causes). I narrowly avoided law school, instead choosing film school. I have been accused of being a walking IMDB, but I take it as a compliment!

I completely agree with you about Superman. My thoughts are that Superman should square off with a heavy hitter. If you aren’t going to have Superman punch someone through buildings, why are you making a Superman movie? I just hope it’s not Doomsday. Still Luthor HAS to be in the film.

As for The Dark Knight Rises, I have two questions. Do you think Bane will have those ridiculous tubes coming out of his head? The second, what do you make of the character from The Dark Knight named Mr. Reese (Mysteries?) as the eventual Riddler? A reach, I know. But there was that ridiculous Catwoman hint…

Hey Jason, I’ll try to address all of your points the best I can.

    1. I totally agree, Superman needs to show his muscle against a real villain in order for this film to be good. The greatest part about Superman is his duality of character, he’s battling between being a regular human being battling for Lane’s affection but has these amazing characteristics that make him Earth’s mightiest hero. I really hope there is character development in this movie because that’s something Returns totally lacked.

    2. I think Bane will most definitely not have the tubes from his head. My theory is that he will be infected with the Scarecrow’s fear toxin since it has played such a significant role in both films. Bane will be show his super strength and hopefully his cunning intellect.

    3. I’m glad you brought up Mr. Reese because that’s a character that nobody seems to ever remember. At the end of The Dark Knight i screamed that to my friends who hadn’t caught on to the name drop. I most definitely think that he will be in the film, as Riddler I am not sure, but definitely as a pre-Edward Enigma. If you played the viral campaign before the movie came out, there were Gotham Times that were mailed out and the Riddler was mentioned in those as well. There are definitely hints that he will make an appearance!

    3. There was no reason for the mention of protection against cats in The Dark Knight other than to cause stipulation of Catwoman. Nolan knew without a doubt that he would be including her in his universe.

Thanks for watching Jason, hope I answered everything! Feel free to comment as much as you want here, on our Facebook and/or Twitter. Look forward to hearing from you!
