Uncharted has a director AGAIN!

According to the Hollywood Reporter, Horrible Bosses and Identity Thief director Seth Gordon has been selected to direct Sony‘s block buster (and my personal favorite) video game title Uncharted: Drakes Fortune, with a tentative release date of 2016.

As you may have read, this movie has been trapped in production limbo for a couple of years. The film has suffered a number of re-writes and Seth will be the 3rd director attached to the film after Neil Burger and David O. Russell.

In my opinion both of Seth’s predecessors where a horrible fit for the film interpretation of the game. They both had a darker and to0-serious tone for the light hearted and comedic Nathan Drake. With Seth Gordon’s comedic background I think we may have a winner. Seth will have his first test run at the action comedy gig this summer with the remake of the 80’s classic War Games.

Is this good new for us Uncharted faithful? Only time will tell.

I was born in Cleveland and raised in Los Angeles. Grew up with my face in a comic book and my head in the clouds. I have made many life decisions based on what would certain comic book or movie characters would do… this includes joining the United States Marines, getting into fights, starting random businesses and living in Japan for awhile. Some good decisions some bad, but all worth it.
