In 1999, one film changed pop culture forever. The Matrix was a groundbreaking piece of cinema not just for its unique storytelling but for the unprecedented technology used to bring such an ambitious world to life. In 2003, The Matrix Reloaded premiered showcasing a flashier but arguably lesser sequel compared to its predecessor. Still, in 2021 we still speak of it, I would say it’s a success in some form or another. Just a few months later the final chapter of the franchise, The Matrix Revolutions came out finishing the story or Neo, Trinity and Morpheus. Or so we thought…

Now, in 2021, eighteen years after the last Matrix film released, we have the opportunity to return. Not only will the program itself be reloaded, the characters we know and love will make a comeback of sorts as well. Keanu Reeves as Neo. Carrie-Anne Moss as Trinity. And newcomer Yahya Abdul-Mateen II as a young Morpheus. Together they return to yet again combat the tyranny of artificially intelligent machines hell-bent on world and human domination.
