With the next installment of the Monsuno DVD series, The Power chapter sets up the fun and excitement as Chase Monsuno and his friends Jinja, Bren and Beyal make their way through the snow filled Mandala Mountains, to the barren deserts of the low lands in search of Chase’s father Jendry. But the Core Tech group has many obstacles in their way with the power hungry forces of Storm and Commander Trey, to the deceitful Dr. Klipes and the savages of Medea and her Darkspin mercenaries trying to stop them for their personal gains.

As Chase and the gang continues to push on, they meet new allies and even gain new Monsuno monsters in the process. And just when they’re so close to unraveling the where a bouts of Chase’s dad, Charlemagne and Storm throw their force on the group!

This is a fun DVD as you learn more about each member of the Core Tech team, and the villains in the Monsuno series. With each character and their unique attitudes, they bring such a diverse storyline which sets the cartoon apart from others such as Pokémon or Yu Gi Oh. The action oriented anime has a more intense situation as they deal with not just the battles of the Monsuno monsters but the troubles of Dr. Kilpes and the army of Storm.

For teens and young adults alike, Monsuno is something that they can enjoy as they have similar concept that they can relate to as their predecessors like Pokémon but a serious tone that no other cartoon has that will pull them in with all the action.

I’m giving the Monsuno: Power DVD a 3 out of 5 Nerdskulls.

While searching for his lost father, young Chase Suno has been given a great gift in the form of a powerful creature named Lock. The loyal Lock is a Monsuno created by Chase’s father for the sole purpose of protecting his son from those who would use the Monsunos to dominate the globe. With his best friends, Bren and Jinja, Chase must do whatever it takes to protect the Earth from its ultimate destruction, even if it means taking on his most powerful rivals — armed with their own Monsunos — one by one!

I'm a true child of the 80s from a small town near Cleveland, Ohio. My all time favorite topics are Star Wars, slasher films and Cleveland sports (despite the misery it causes). I narrowly avoided law school, instead choosing film school. I have been accused of being a walking IMDB, but I take it as a compliment!
