Greetings and welcome to a little thing called “Double Feature” with Cake Blissken. This ongoing series will feature two movies that I have paired together for your viewing pleasure. There may also be a triple feature thrown in there from time to time.
If you’re a movie nerd, you should know a lot these. If not, hopefully, you will find a new flick to experience for the first time or rewatch a classic.
So, if you’ve got nothing better to do, head on over to your local video store, search your favorite legal or illegal online subscription movie site, check your personal DVD or VHS collection and track these bad boys down. Grab some delicious and nutritious sweet treats, a refreshing beverage and a nice cozy blanket or significant other and most importantly…enjoy the show!
Today’s Double Feature is John Carpenter’s The Thing and The Hidden (1987). Look for the following… Alien monsters, body jumping, flame throwers, Ferrari’s and Danny Trejo, blink and you will miss his cameo.
Bonus Play: Try JC’s The Thing with Quentin Tarantino’s The Hateful Eight and let Kurt Russell’s facial hair keep you warm like a very thick itchy blanket.
