Double Feature #30 with Cake Blissken

Welcome back for more!

Meow, If you’ve got nothing better to do, head on over to your last local video store, search your favorite legal or illegal online subscription movie sites, check your personal DVD or VHS collection and track these bad boys down. Meow, grab some delicious and/or nutritious sweet or sour treats, a refreshing beverage, a nice cozy blanket or significant other and most importantly…stop looking at your cell phone and pay attention!!!

“Everybody relax, I’m here.” Let’s explore the world of the weird with magic, monsters and martial arts. Today’s Double Feature is John Carpenter’s legendary Big Trouble in Little China and Michael Ritchie’s The Golden Child. John Carpenter was attached to direct The Golden Child at one point, but decided to direct BTILC instead. Thank you John!!! Look for the following: Blood oatmeal, girls with green eyes, Tywin Lannister, glowing swords, a dancing Pepsi can, a mouth eyeball, Leonard Smalls and the band Ratt. “So, I gotta go to Tibet because I’m the Chosen One. Why can’t anybody choose me to go to the Bahamas.”

Bonus Play: Add Stephen Chow’s Kung Fu Hustle and watch a unique take on a martial arts film. From walking disaster to Kung Fu Master!

I'm a true child of the 80s from a small town near Cleveland, Ohio. My all time favorite topics are Star Wars, slasher films and Cleveland sports (despite the misery it causes). I narrowly avoided law school, instead choosing film school. I have been accused of being a walking IMDB, but I take it as a compliment!
