Superman News!

Zack Snyder was looking to go big with casting Superman’s biological father Jor-El in the new movie. Looks like he did just that. Variety is reporting that Russell Crowe has been cast to play Kal-El’s father. The role was last played by Marlon Brando in Richard Donner’s adaptation of the famous Kryptonian. It is not yet known the extent the character will play in Snyder’s version. We already know that Henry Cavill will play Superman/Clark Kent with Amy Adams playing Lois Lane. We also have Kevin Costner and Diane Lane set to take on the roles of Pa and Ma Kent respectively. And of course Michael Shannon was announced as General Zod. Roles are definitely being filled out for the film which is slated to start filming in August. Let us know what you think of the cast so far for the new Superman movie.

I'm a true child of the 80s from a small town near Cleveland, Ohio. My all time favorite topics are Star Wars, slasher films and Cleveland sports (despite the misery it causes). I narrowly avoided law school, instead choosing film school. I have been accused of being a walking IMDB, but I take it as a compliment!
