Texas Frightmare Weekend is celebrating its 14th year May 3-5 2019. Presented by Arrow Video, TFW takes place at the Hyatt Regency DFW Airport. It has become one of the largest horror conventions in the country. With 93,000 square feet of convention floor, Nerdlocker is excited to be covering this event for the 4th consecutive year. TFW is packed with entertainment. With a huge selection of celebrity guests highlighted by Robert Englund, Tim Curry, Bruce Campbell, and Director Sam Raimi, autograph lines and photo ops will be long but worth the wait. The most exciting part of the weekend may be what TFW is calling an Elm Street Party. Twelve actors from the franchise will be in attendance, including four cast members from the original film that started it all. Details haven’t been released as to exactly what NoES activities will specifically be happening, but we are really hoping there will be a screening with the cast.
Speaking of screenings, our friends at the Alamo Drafthouse and the Mondo Gallery should be hosting another movie experience the Thursday night leading up to TFW. In the past, they have collaborated to show Scream,The Thing, and Saw. Each movie had an original movie print released at the screening and a live Q&A with cast members.
